Perch add-ons - what should we develop next?

Here at Perch we are committed to keeping the basic use case of our product as simple as it always has been – take an existing page, add an include and a content tag and you can edit content on that page. However Perch isn’t limited to basic content editing.

We’ve released a number of add-ons for Perch that add larger chunks of functionality to the core product – for those who need them. These are all developed using our API which is also available for other developers to create their own add-ons. Check out:

Our official add-ons are free for anyone with a Perch license. We strongly believe that you should know what developing your site will cost in license fees. If you have paid for Perch – you can download and install every single one of our add-ons if you like, with no additional cost. If we release something new mid-development of your site that will save you a load of work you can download and install it without worrying about the additional license cost.

We know that there are other products which offer a free core and then charge for add-ons. It’s not a route we will ever take. We want to be able to make decisions about what should go into core based on what is best for Perch and Perch users – rather than sidelining chunks of functionality because we can make money from them as add-ons.

Let us know what you would like to see as new add-ons for Perch. As with improvements to core we develop these according to requests from Perchers so it would be great to find out what would be useful and save you time in your projects.
