A special deal to use Perch on your agency or freelance portfolio website

The people we had in mind when we developed Perch were design and development agencies and freelancers. People who were creating great web design and wanted a content management system that would enable their clients to edit content – while preserving the well crafted design.

Agencies and freelancers still represent our main customer group today. Our tutorials and documentation assume a familiarity with HTML and CSS, and the decisions we make for the product always have that audience in mind. Our People Love Perch section of the site is full of stories about how these customers use Perch to improve their business and offering to clients.

We don’t intend to divert the product away from this audience as we think that trying to become something for everyone – for example by trying to make Perch into a tool for people with no web design skills – would ultimately make it less useful for the people we love to work with. We think that focus makes for a better product. Therefore to grow the business, to ultimately have more resources to be able to develop more features and functionality for this audience, we need to encourage more freelancers and agencies to give us a try.

From our own experience and seeing the sites that our Perchers build, we know that trying out a new tool such as a CMS is often something you do on your own site before recommending it to clients. If you are developing your own site however there is no client picking up the bill for the license cost to use a product like Perch. So we’re announcing a very special deal to help you get started using Perch on your own portfolio or agency website. We’ll give you a discount of 50% of the cost of a license for that use. We hope that like many other Perchers you will love Perch and want to use it for your clients in future – however that part is up to us to provide a great product!

Head on over to our deals page to read the full details and find out how to take advantage of this offer and please share this post with any freelancers or agencies who you know have been thinking about using Perch.
