News updates, tips on using Perch and running a great web design business
When revising the interface for Perch 2 we wanted to keep things as familiar as possible. So the default view you get when logging into your site is your page listing – direct access to your site content.
However, in Perch 2 there is a new option for that first screen – the Perch Dashboard. This post is to introduce you to Dashboard, explain how to enable it, and explain our plans for this feature.
Perch 2 has landed! If you’ve got an existing site that you would like to upgrade to Perch 2, we’ve tried to make that as easy as possible. We’ve also got a special discount if you get in early.
We are very happy to announce that Perch 2 is here and ready to fly!
When we launched the first version of Perch back in June 2009, we took the step of requiring PHP 5.0 or greater. Three years later, with Perch 2 being a major upgrade in all areas, we’ve taken the opportunity to re-examine those basic system requirements. As a result, Perch 2 will require PHP 5.2 or greater to run.
We’re looking for beta testers to help us make sure the new version of Perch is ready to land. Interested in helping? Find out more in this post.
Today Perch – the really little CMS – is three years old. To celebrate we’re announcing Perch 2 with a whole host of improvements based on the things you have asked for.
