Perch 2 will be available in July and as we head towards the launch of this major version we will be running a beta programme to ensure that we can launch a product with as few issues as possible.
We would like to invite existing Perch users, who have some time to spare over the next few weeks and are interested to try out Perch 2 before anyone else, to take part in the beta.
We are looking for people to test on a new installs but also by upgrading existing sites. However, we do not advise installing a beta version on your live site so you would need to have the ability to run a development version while testing. We’ll provide you with a license key, and a place to discuss the beta with us and other users.
To be a member of the beta you should also be able to report issues in a clear manner, and able to step through solutions and troubleshooting from the Perch team.
As our announcement page explains, Perch 2 seeks to solve the problems seen by sites with very large amounts of content – so if that is you we would be very interested for you to be part of the beta. However we want to involve a range of types of sites and platforms to ensure that when this release gets into the hands of all customers we have ironed out any issues.
Places on the beta will be limited so please apply only if you will have time to test and feedback to us.
To apply please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- The email address used for your Perch account
- Confirming that you understand that installing beta software on a live site would be at your own risk and that you understand our advice to test on a development copy
- Giving any specific details of sites that you could test Perch 2 on to help us get a range of sites included.
